Hey Band!

From Mr. Drake:

Dear Cougar Band Members and Parents,

Congratulations on a very successful UIL Region Contest!! Your ratings and more importantly your high level of performance are a testament to your hard work and dedication to our band. Thank you parents for being so supportive and helpful in helping prepare our students for all of our contests and events - we couldn't do it without you!

Everyone will receive an itinerary for next Saturday as soon as I put it together on Wednesday. We have a real opportunity to show everyone what we're made of at Cypress Creek!

  • If we are marching in the finals everyone will be performing and the dance will not be an option this year.
  • If we don't make the finals, we will be watching the finals.
  • If we do not advance to the finals, students wishing to attend the Homecoming Dance may do so with a note form your parent due by TOMORROW, Monday, October 20th.

From the boosters:
Congratulations on advancing to AREA! All of your hard work is paying off!  Good luck at UIL Area this Saturday!

From the Flag Mom:
Band Students,Congratulations on great performances this weekend! Your hard work has definitely paid off. Our next flag holiday, Veteran’s Day, is thankfully after our football season and afterschool practices. Flags go out Monday, November 10th, from 3:30-5:30pm. Flags back in 2 days later on the 12th from 3:30-8pm. I truly have too many students signed up for this holiday! Many of you are not signed up at all for any holiday, are an underclassman that is not signed up for a summer holiday, orsigned up for less than 3 holidays. Any of these 3 things need to be fixed ASAP. I also need more students to help with carts instead of taking a route. The carts are very heavy, but I refuse to stipulate that big, strong guys would be helpful. You just read between the lines. No helper is turned away. I am attaching the Veteran’s Day sign up list I have and the latest master list for all holidays. Please check this with your calendar. Many changes have been made since fee day in May......Thank you for your dedication to the amazing fundraiser!
Mrs. Sevier

From the Treasurer:
We are so fortunate to have a great community that supports our band in so many ways. From our neighbors buying flag subscriptions to our parent volunteers that put in countless hours, you can see it takes a great deal of dedication to make a quality band program. Thank you to everyone that has paid your band fees in full! We use our fees to pay our field technicians and our bills with everyone's fair share. If you have been unable to complete the payment of your band fees, please contact the treasurer ASAP to arrange your payments so that we can keep the band moving forward!

Unsure of your status? Log into CHARMS to check your account. See the attachment for login directions.

107 students have made a deposit for the band trip. There are 8-10 spots left. First come, first served! As a reminder, all fees must be paid for students to attend the trip.
