Flags with Pride

We are entering our SIXTH year for the Flags with Pride fundraising activity and continue to receive overwhelming support.  Our community neighbors enjoy it so much and tell us how proud they are of the band students and parents for the hard work that goes into this project.  Thanks to all the students and parents for making it a great success!!  And…A very special thanks from the Band to all of their flag subscribers!!

Flag Holidays 2016-2017

*Flags will be flown on the following days.  Flags are left out for display between Labor Day 
& Patriot Day due to the closeness of holidays (Exact Deliver and Pick Up dates may change

Student Volunteers

 Students may view the list of volunteers for flag holidays below. Remember to choose the holidays that work best for you and think about partnering with someone for the same holidays if you have problems with a vehicle or driver.  Three holidays are required for each band student—Seniors are encouraged to choose 3 holidays prior to Memorial Day since they will graduate in May; Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors please choose at least 1 of the summer holidays (Memorial Day or Independence Day) as one of your three holidays.

Respect for our flag: Remember to show respect for the flag at all times and never allow the flag to touch the ground.  Also take good care of the flags when delivering and storing.  We must use these same flags for another year and we are starting to see some tears and stains. When rolling the flags up, transporting and placing flags on the flag carts, the main thing is to avoid loose fabric and crossed flags that get caught when pulled out. We want our community sponsors to be proud of the flags we place!

Sign Up Rules

Each student is required to sign up for 3 holidays: 9, 10, 11 grades--please sign up for 2 flag holidays in school year and 1 in summer (Memorial Day or 4th of July). Seniors may pick 3 holidays prior to the summer holidays, but if they want to commit to a summer holiday, they can. We will count on Seniors being there if they sign up for the summer.

Ordering Flags

Orders  to sign up for all six flag holidays are due by August 13, 2016.  You may download the 2016 - 2017 order form and mail the payment of $36 to:

Flag Shirts

Flag shirts are available for $7 each.  Extra shirts from last year will be available on Fee Day and you may order shirts if your size is not available. Shirts are also for sale on each Flag Holiday. Purchasing the flag shirt is optional. We would like to show our school pride and patriotism though, so you can wear any Cypress Creek blue band shirt if you don’t want a flag shirt.
